The Old Mill, the Knock, A’anside

This old Mill, unused for many a year, is part of the outbuildings at The Knock, an old farmhouse on A’anside, near Tomintoul.  In the background you can make out the outline of Ben Rinnes – our local “big” hill. In the near distance but out of sight, runs the River Avon famous for its very clear waters and good fishing for sea trout and salmon.  There are a few other old houses nearby which have been renovated for holiday homes.
